Other rules

Rabies: 7 AAC 27.022 requires vaccination of dogs, cats and ferrets under the schedules in the 2011 Compendium of Animal Rabies Prevention and Control. The section itself gives no age.[1]

Bite liability: no strict liability statute is listed, so the common law one-bite or negligence approach is likely, but this was not confirmed.[2]

Breed rules: no state preemption of local breed laws found.[3]

Not confirmed yet: Registration, Leash and muzzle. We only show what an official or named source states.

Laws change: this is general information, not legal advice. The authority linked on each line has the final word.
