Dogs in Canton of Ticino, Switzerland: rules, tax and travel

Ticino requires liability insurance and a municipal dog tax of CHF 75 to 125, and dogs must be on a leash and muzzled where needed in places with people or animals.

Municipalities set the tax within the cantonal range and may issue dog ordinances.

The national rules for Switzerland apply here too. National rules
